Genuine and warmhearted, Jon works with individuals and families to plan ahead for the possibility of incapacity and the eventuality of death. He works with you to structure estate plans to achieve your personal and charitable goals, ranging from basic plans to custom circumstances, whether planning for blended families, special needs trusts, or wealth transfer across multiple generations.

Jon guides clients through the probate and trust administration process. He provides pragmatic and compassionate counsel to his fiduciary clients regarding their duties and responsibilities. Jon also assists clients with the sensitive nature of guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.

In addition to his trusts and estates practice, Jon is an accomplished family law advocate and manages Tapestry Family Law, a subsidiary of Catalyst. While he believes that most Family Law cases can be resolved outside the courtroom, he is an experienced trial attorney when matters cannot settle.

Jon has worked with Family Law and Trusts & Estates firms in Portland, Oregon, and, as a solo practitioner, focused on juvenile law prior to joining Catalyst. He serves on the advisory board of Portland State University Student Legal Services, where he worked as a certified law clerk while in law school.

Jon has lived in several places but has called Portland, Oregon home since 2004. In his free time, Jon enjoys spending time with family and friends. He plays several different instruments and has co-written and co-produced several theatrical plays. He once co-wrote a short film that was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
