Julia Plowman

Julia’s mission is to bring humanity to business.

Born in Arkansas, her dream of living and working around the globe came true. She graduated from Wellesley College and moved to New York City to work with Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs at ABC News 20/20. Afterwards she headed west to Portland, OR, to work at Wieden+Kennedy. She held leadership positions in Portland, Tokyo and Amsterdam building the world’s most iconic brands like Nike, Microsoft, Coca-cola, EA, Audi and Old Spice.

A decade ago she broke convention and shifted her career to focus on solving the world’s biggest problems. Highlights include leading the strategic and creative development of the Nike Foundation’s Girl Effect to break generational poverty, working with Fazle Abed the founder of BRAC, the world’s largest NGO based in Bangladesh, to provide micro-lending and savings to unbanked populations, partnering with Laurene Powell Jobs to promote the XQ Institute’s Super School challenge and collaborating with Vice-President Al Gore on The Climate Reality Project.

Today, she is a leading expert on purpose driven brands and serves as Chief of Staff at Catalyst Law, where she focuses on strategic clarity, team leadership, marketing and business development and fostering a vital culture.
