Licensed in Oregon, California, and Florida, Ashley’s practice includes estate planning, probate and trust administration, guardianship, and fiduciary litigation.
Compassionate and pragmatic, Ashley guides individuals and families on planning for incapacity and in structuring wealth to achieve their goals, ranging from basic plans to complex strategies spanning multiple generations. Ashley oversees these structures through the probate and trust administration process, where she provides practical and effective counsel to her fiduciary clients regarding their duties and to her individual clients regarding their rights. Ashley also helps clients address and solve sensitive issues and disputes through alternative dispute resolution and litigation.
Ashley is experienced in navigating California’s complex property tax rules governing change of ownership and reassessment of real estate and assists clients with wealth transfer plans that avoid reassessment of the underlying real estate transferred. She also counsels clients regarding the establishment and preservation of community property status.
Ashley is a graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with honors from the University of Florida.
Ashley began her legal career in 2006 as a Staff Attorney for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Palm Beach County, Florida, where she gained experience working for circuit court probate judges. Ashley has worked with boutique Trusts & Estates firms in Palm Beach County, Florida, and in the Trusts & Estates departments of mid-sized firms in the San Francisco Bay Area and Portland, Oregon.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys science fiction and fantasy, hiking, live music, and Portland’s vegan and vegetarian food scene.
