With more than a decade working as a transactional attorney in a variety of settings, including at a Top 10 law firm, a Fortune 100 company, and as a solo practitioner, Vigdis’ practice focuses on business legal counseling, drafting and negotiating transactions and contracts, as well as intellectual property matters.
Vigdis has experience working with a wide range of clients and companies that span across several industries, including media, technology, consumer products, fashion, food and beverage, lifestyle service companies and creative professionals. Her expertise at the intersection of business and intellectual property benefits clients with a range of business matters, including contracts, service agreements, partnership & joint venture agreements, intellectual property licensing, acquisition agreements, employee policies, privacy and data protection policies. Vigdis has substantial experience providing businesses with legal counsel from formation through growth. She collaborates with clients to put in place thoughtful customized intellectual property strategies, which include plans for registration, maintenance, operations, and enforcement.
Vigdis is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar and awarded the Carroll G. Harper prize for achievement in intellectual property studies and writing. She has a BA from Duke University. Vigdis is admitted to practice in Oregon and New York.
Vigdis serves as a director on the board of Queen’s Bench, the Multnomah County chapter of the Oregon Women Lawyers and volunteers as a mediator at the Small Claims program in Multnomah County.
Vigdis loves any excuse to get outdoors, whether it’s chasing powder all winter long, attempting to make things grow in her garden, or simply walking on the beach. She loves hosting and finds engaging conversation to be one of the biggest sources of joy and growth in life.
